Out There offers a free and confidential service for those serving the 'sentence on the outside'. We offer friendship and information. It is a well documented fact that families with a member in prison are often isolated, rejected and have difficulty in finding sources of information and support at a very stressful time. The organisation therefore will try to alleviate, in some measure, this situation for families in the Greater Manchester area.

Out There Supporting Families of Prisoners, opened its door in September 2006. The Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul initiated this project and have been responsible for staffing it with Support Workers since its inception. We owe a debt of gratitude to the Diocese of Salford for providing premises.
